I spent all week working on this tutorial. It is 15 pages long and very detailed. I made two more this weekend with a couple of different variatons. The most time consuming part is cutting out all the pieces. Once that is done, it goes pretty fast. I have some more ideas for boys and also additional uses for the purse, but have not had time to work on those ideas-YET! I might eventually expand the tutorial and offer it in my shop, but for now it's free. I would love to hear your feedback if you decide to make one or if the instructions are unclear. ***updated 8-10-2010- larger version (composition size) measurements listed here.
Be sure to add photos to my flickr group, if you decide to make one.

Jen, it says the document isn't available. I'll check back later to check it out - sounds like you put a lot of work into it!
The new ones look great!
OH, and yes the strap cover will include a pocket. :)
Great tutorial! It did take a while to load, but it was worth it. I need to make one of those for each of my kids. I love the zipper pocket to keep the markers contained. Great job!
SO EXCITED to try this...the girls need something to take to church. They end up bringing crayons (in my purse) and drawing on slips of paper (from my purse). So these would be perfect! I wonder if I could manage to do one for each before Easter? Hmmm...
Too cute! I love this -- now I just have to find some time to make some!
Wowie! What a lot of time and work you put into that tutorial. It looks great! Can't wait to try it...thanks, Jen!!

I love sewing your things and this is the latest one I want to try.... : )
Anonymous,
I did not have a way to respond to your comment. I bought my fabric at Joanns. I hope that helps.
