We went to the park yesterday morning. The weather was perfect and the kids were excited to be able to run and play. Harper did stop for a few minutes to let me snap some photos of her. She has finally realized it is much easier to just let me take her picture. Plus she likes looking at herself on the computer. I loved how these photos came out. These photos reflect how I see my beautiful, independent, smart, and precious baby girl.
I think one of the main reasons I love photography is that it freezes these moments in time. When I look back at these photos, I know I will remember this morning at the park. I had a hard time choosing a favorite. I love the first one because it is SOOC, but I think I am going to have to go with that last one.

those just couldn't be sweeter.
love that middle one. it somehow speaks to the viewer in such a beautiful, understated way. BTW: Harrison has also figured out that it's easier to give mom the picture and then go about his business. still working on owen, though :).
Oh, I hope I don't have to choose a favorite because I like them all. You are right about freezing time with photography. We are lucky to have a passion for photography because it will keep giving over time.
Great shots!

The middle one just grabbed me. I think it's a combo of the close crop and her eyes on a diagonal that leads the eye across the photo. She is lovely!
Why is it that our children inspire us so?! Isn't that our job--to inspire them?! I love the look in Harper's eyes in the first--so all-knowing and so innocent at once.
I'm looking forward to Nicholas allowing me to just let me take his photo without the added pressure of catching him first.
Very nice post!
Beautiful shots. They all are incredible but I like the last one the best too. Beautiful, beautiful girl.
She is gorgeous and looks just like her mother! What a sweet innocence. I have been meaning to tell you also, how much I love her name. Very original. :) Thank you for sharing!
Beautiful shots!
So darling. I hope my kids start realizing that things would be easier if they would just stand still for a shot or two! Great shots!
She is beautiful! Good job, you! I agrees with you about freezing those moments in time. I wish I could make it all slow down just a bit!!
Your right....The first shot has warmth to it because of the sun, but in the last one, I can totally see the youth and innocence in her eyes. Such sweet shots!
oh! She is Strikingly gorgeous!!!
She is just beautiful Jen...Her eyes are so big and beautiful!
and really, why do we need to choose? they are all fabulous! she is just absolutely beautiful!

Luv them all!!
Sounds like a fabulous day...she is such a beauty~

Beautiful shots of Harper. Yes, eventually they realize that if they let us take a few then we won't bother them all the time. ;)
